How do I get started?

Call Body of Harmony Institute of Health & Healing today to schedule a consultation with Dr. Hakimi at (310) 285- 9914. You could also fill out our contact form on our website. You will want to download and fill out our patient forms if this is your first visit to Body of Harmony.

What can I expect from an office visit?

We kindly ask you to plan accordingly to get to our office prior to your appointment time. We respects everyone’s time and would like to stay on schedule. During your visit, you can ask Dr. Hakimi questions about your health, emotions, or procedures and he can share his medical knowledge to best help you.

Is there a recovery time after a procedure?

Most patients return to normal activities on the same day as their treatment. The area that is treated may be reddened, bruised, swollen, or sore for an hour up through a few days. Most treatments show little to no sign that you had anything done at all. A mild ache for 1-3 days is the most common after effect. Any post-treatment discomfort can usually be relieved with Arnica or regular over-the-counter pain medications. Dr. Hakimi may prescribe a stronger medication depending on the treatment or your condition.

Do I need a consultation for everything I do at Body Of Harmony?

The consultation is a very important part of the treatment process. Consultation will allow you and the doctor to conduct a thorough analysis of your treatment plan. The doctor will discuss your goals, your options, the details of the treatment plan you choose, and pre- and post-treatment care.

How about if I just want IV Nutrition or injections?

In certain cases, you do not need a consultation to use our ancillary services like regular IV nutrition and injections. However for IV Nutritions that are higher in concentration, you will need a consultation and blood work to make sure your physiology can handle the treatment. We appreciate the words from the Father of Medicine, Hippocrates: “First, Do No Harm”.

Is there a Cancellation or Now-Show Policy?

At our office, you are always put first as we commit our time to you. Unlike other medical offices, we do not overbook our schedule so that we can dedicate our attention to you. For this reason, we have a strict policy on scheduling. If you are a new patient, we kindly ask you to make changes to your appointment up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. For our established patients, we ask that you change your appointment up to 24 hours prior to scheduled time-with the exception that any appointments on Monday will have to be rescheduled the week prior. No-shows will be charged as scheduled.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept any type of insurance and are “out-of-network” to all insurance companies. However upon request, our office can issue a super-bill for every visit and you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Can I download forms I need to fill out as a new patient?

Yes, you can download forms! Print and fill our New Patient Form and hand it to us when you arrive. If you prefer to skip this and fill it out in our office, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow enough time for your appointment.

What else do I need to know?

We recommend that you bring all of your previous medical history, including your labs reports, imaging studies, medication, and supplements to your appointment. Dr. Hakimi always says: “Every piece of the puzzle matters.” Dr. Hakimi will sort everything out for you and let you know what you should continue with and what needs to be stopped. If you are getting Osteopathic Treatment or Stem Cell Therapy, we ask you to wear comfortable clothing, such as exercise, training, or yoga attire to your appointment please. If you have to be in your work clothes scrubs or a gown will be provided to you for your procedure.
