Heavy Metal Chelation

As our society becomes more industrialized, we also become exposed to more toxins. Heavy metals, smoke, xenoestrogen, antibiotics, pesticides, and chemically treated products are some of the offending agents. It is easy to appreciate why a detoxification plan is needed on a regular basis to decrease the burden on our organs.

Mercury toxicity, for example, may cause or contribute to immune dysregulation in sensitive individuals. Symptoms of excess include: loss of appetite, decreased senses of touch, hearing, and vision, fatigue, depression, emotional instability, peripheral numbness and tremors, poor memory and cognitive dysfunction, and neuromuscular disorders. Sources of Mercury include dental amalgams, fish, water supplies, skin lightening agents, some fertilizers, and the paper pulp and gold industries.
